Send us your work…

You can submit your work via the submissions page. There are guidelines there as to word limits and the type of work we are looking for. Currently open to art, poetry and fiction.

We like to keep things simple, so all you have to do is paste your work into the online form, or send us an artist’s proposal and hit Submit!

It’s been an absolute joy and privilege reading all your work and seeing such wonderful art coming out of the region this year.

The Black Country Arts Foundry was set up in October 2017 by writer Louise Palfreyman to celebrate regional arts and promote new artistic and literary talent. Our team is made up of people who live or study in the Black Country, though recently Storm Mann left us to start her first job in publishing! Congratulations, Storm!

Since our launch, it has been our pleasure to publish a host of new writers of fiction and poetry from the Black Country and beyond, and to cover art exhibitions, research projects, and individual artists.

The project is part of the Artists Access to Art Colleges Scheme (AA2A) and Louise is the first writer-in-residence at the University of Wolverhampton.

We appeared at Wolverhampton Literature Festival in January, and have read at local events in the region, including the excellent Permission to Speak in Stourbridge. More events coming soon…
